BMW Mini: Small Yet Superior

BMW is a company that needs no introduction. Probably one of the oldest car manufacturing company in the world, today, it is one of the most leading names as far as the automobile industry of the world is taken into consideration. Over the years, the name and the fame associated with the company have grown in leaps and bounds and every time the company has come up with something, it has left the expectations of its supporters and followers miles behind. BMW Mini would be the most new addition to its already existing long list of luxury cars and would be one of the major cars 2012.

No wonder it is one of the most sought after upcoming cars in India. Taking about the car model, it is a advanced version of the British cars popularly known as marques. BMW is planning to come up with its own Hatchback collection to India, starting things up with BMW Mini.

Exteriors and looks:

When you are talking BMW, you do not have to worry even a little bit about the exteriors of your cars and how it would look, because it is one of the things, for which the company is famous for. The finishing is completely extraordinary, and each single profile of the car has a different story to tell. First of all, the car is designed in such a style that is not seen much. The headlights and the rear lights are also the other features. The front region is long, bulged and most of all, elegant. BMW Mini has such exteriors that no other Hatchbacks have ever had, and this is why it’s is the most awaited latest car launch in India. And how can you forget about the alloy wheels. They are the wide, they are shinning and they are beautiful. Also the car is available is many, unconventional colours, adding one more feature into its features! On a scale of ten, only the ignorant would rate it less than 10.

Interiors:

Among the cars 2012 one can easily bet on the fact that this automobile by BMW would be the best as far as the interiors are concerned, because such is the beauty added inside the car, by the company. The entire interior is done in two colours, which is not normally seen in the other similar cars. Starting with the passenger capacity, it can easily seat 4 people, with enough leg space, interior space and all other requirement. Moreover the boot space can go as far as 680 litres which, for these kinds of cars, is an extraordinary achievement. You have got an in built music system, which can work on both Bluetooth and Wifi. Also the speakers are of good quality, which would cut you off entirely from the external world. There is power steering used in the car, which multitasks. You can control the music volume, the temperature of AC, open-close windows etc. Also there’s a 6.5 inch LCD screen. The seats are well done, made with some complex carbon compound, and uses leather upholstery in all of the BMW Mini series cars.

Engine and its Capacity:

One of the things that Indians look for the most in all of the upcoming cars in India is the power that engine can create and deliver. After all, it matters a lot too, that you make a statement. BMW Mini is going to be released in two versions, one is the normal one and the other is the sports edition. The sports edition, for obvious reasons, has a more powerful engine, when compared to the normal edition ones. The normal version car’s engine would deliver 122 hp at 6000 rpm while in the sports edition; it is increased to 184 at 5500 rpm. Talking about the torque produced, for the normal Mini Cooper series the max value would be 160 Nm at 4250 rpm, while for the sports series it would jump up to 240 Nm at 5000 rpm. These stats are enough to show the power that would be delivered by the automobile. Also the car can go to 0-100kmph in just 7 seconds. That should be tickling enough, right?

Fuel:

At their latest car launch, BMW announced that Petrol model of the car would be released in India, during its launch. The fact does stay that the mileage is pretty low and the petrol prices are on all time high, but when you are buying a BMW, it is all about making a statement and proving a point. So the fact hardly matters, because those who buy BMW do not actually care about the fuel that they would have to use.

Safety:

The front and the rear brakes in BMW Mini use disk brakes, so that the airy flight of the car can be stopped any time, when needed. The dashboard and the front part of the car are strong enough to tackle much of the blows that would be imparted. Moreover, air bags have been installed in the front seats, to make sure that in case of accidents, the injury concerns are minimized.

Pricing and Verdict:

BMW Mini has been priced at a staggering figure of Rs 20, 00, 000, which would be the largest sum that you would need to pay for a hatchback. But then again, BMW is BMW. The only thing that stands against the car is its lack of mileage. The owner would need to shell out a huge amount of money from his monthly budget to satisfy this giant. But the fact when pitted against its extremely plush exteriors, the overwhelming interiors and all of the features included inside the car, would be nothing. Hence people over look it most of the times. Moreover, these cars are luxury as well as sports cars, a rare combination to find. So it would be advisable to get hold of this beautiful piece of machine at the earliest.

BMW Mini is scheduled to be released in India during the first week of January 2012 and things are already set into motion. As a matter of fact, the countdown for the release has already begun. So sit back with your eyes wide open, for you are going to witness an extravaganza.
